Born in British Hong Kong in 1950, Pok Chi Lau is based in Lawrence, Kansas. He spent decades documenting the Chinese Diaspora and global migrations.

During his time at b minor, Pok Chi was the master chef showcasing his fine culinary skills with all sorts of cooking, including the fish he caught. He also revisited his body of work made across Cuba from 2009-2019 and turned them into Barrio Chino and Sentient Beings, two photo books that b minor published. Pok Chi has gone on tours for those books, in New York and Berlin, and other places to follow.
